Run this twice: once with your blocker off, once with it on. You need both passes to see the difference. Each fake ad is numbered so you can tell which slot passed or failed.

You have to look at the ads once with the blocker off. Otherwise you never see what it is protecting you from.

How to test

  1. Turn your ad blocker off (or pause it for this site), then refresh. You should see every green TEST AD box for slots 1 to 4.
  2. Read the result banner below. Each slot should say visible.
  3. Turn your ad blocker on, refresh again. Watch which numbered boxes vanish.
  4. Compare the two results. That is what your blocker is actually doing.

What this page does

This page is a free ad blocker test. It shows four labeled placeholder ads that look like common display units. The images are stored on this site. They are not served by Google, Facebook, or any other ad network right now.

Many blockers hide elements that use familiar ad names such as adsbox, advertisement, and adsbygoogle. This page uses those names on purpose so a normal blocker has something to catch.

After you finish the off and on passes, you will know whether your blocker is working, which slots it catches, and which ones still show. That is useful before you trust a new extension, a new browser profile, or a phone browser.

Why test with the blocker off first

If you only load the page with the blocker already on, every slot may be blank. You learn that something is hidden, but you do not see what was there. Turning the blocker off for one refresh shows the full set of test ads. Turning it back on shows the protection in action.

About the test ads

Each slot is a static PNG with a TEST AD label. Slot 1 is a wide leaderboard. Slot 2 is an in-feed style unit. Slot 3 is a classic banner. Slot 4 is a sidebar rectangle. Later, a real ad network such as Google AdSense can replace these placeholders without changing the layout.
